Bamboo-Associated Macrofungi in Malaysia

Macrofungi can be found growing in a vast diversity of environments and substrates. Some macrofungal species exhibit high specificity to certain substrates. In this paper, various macrofungi species associated with bamboo in Malaysia are documented. Some of these bamboo-associated macrofungi are illustrated to enhance reader’s understanding. These macrofungi play important ecological roles in bamboo ecosystems, with some possesing economic value in the medicinal and food industries.
