Proceedings of the National Seminar on Mangrove and Coastal Forest 2019

The contribution and function of mangrove forest is internationally recognized. The United Nations Educational, Scientific and Cultural Organizations (UNESCO) during the 38^th UNESCO Conference on 6^th November 2016 declared July 26^th each year as the International Day for the Conservation of Mangrove Ecosystem.

National Seminar on Mangrove and Coastal Forests 2019 was held to highlight the studies conducted by the Technical Committee on Research and Development (JTRD) as well as the efforts of mangrove and coastal species planting by the Technical Committee on Planning and Implementation (JTPP) for the National Planting Program for Mangrove and Other Suitable Species.  This is a forum to disseminate information through presentations and discussions to the community and relevant stakeholders.
