This publication contains the Proceedings of the "Seminar on Wood-Based Panel Products" held for the third time in Kuala Lumpur on 10-11 July, 2001. The theme for this seminar was "Wood-Based Panel Products in the New Millennium: Meeting Demands and Challenges".
Papers presented in this seminar cover a wide range of topics such as raw materials, resins, new products, new applications, standardisation, marketing and environmental issues. The seminar managed to bring together researchers, policy makers and entrepreneurs to discuss and propose relevant actions and measures pertaining to the the current scenario in wood-based panel industries.
The editors wish to express their appreciation to the Ministry of Primary Industries Malaysia for its support, and the seminar committee members for their hard work in making this seminar a success. Special thanks are due to Puan Rosnaidah Ibrahim for her assisstance in typing and computer work.
