Reforestation Initiatives: Establishment of Forest Species Stands, Bamboo and Herbal Green within an old Rubber Plantation present a collected information from 5-year reforestation activities in an old rubber plantation within the campus of University Teknologi Malaysia, Skudai, Johor. The initiative was a collaborative effort between Forest Research Institut Malaysia (FRIM) and University Teknologi Malaysia (UTM) which inludes the establishment of a model of 10-hectare old rubber plantation site with carefully selected potential forest tree species, setting up of a 1 hectare bamboo stand and a herbal garden. The book intrinsically discussed on the design and techniques of establishment within the old rubber tree stands, species selection, tending treatments after planting and growth performances within a 5 year observation period. Notes on the different types of bamboo species and herbal plants were further elaborated to assist potential planters and enthusiasts in managing these species. The information generated from this book is pertinent not only for the plantation owners but also academicians and potential investors in reforestation activities that can serve as a reference for nature based solutions.
