This book was published under the support of Technical, Research and Development Committee (JTRD), which is chaired by FRIM, where most of the studies related to mangroves are funded by this committee, trough the Malaysia Plans funds. Status of Mangroves in Malaysia is also published as a successor to the book entitled Status of Mangroves in Peninsular Malaysia that was published in year 2012.
