Pasoh Research Forest located in Negeri Sembilan, Malaysia is an internationally recognized site for tropical forestry research. It is also well-known to be an example of comprehensive forest ecosystem. This forest consists of lowland dipterocarp forest of the Keruing-Meranti type. The core area is under pristine condition, while the surrounding buffer zone consists of regenerating forest which is crucially essential in conducting thorough study involving various fields in the ecosystem. In regard to that, a 50-hectare long-term research plot was established circa 1985 in the heart of Pasoh Research Forest to accommodate studies related to tree communities, ecological behaviours and climate change. The outputs from all previous studies conducted in those areas of Pasoh are interpreted ann presented in various ways and one of them is written as chapters in this book. This book provides data analyses from six censuses and discusses four main elements i.e., stand structure floristic composition, forest dynamics and spatial distribution. The book manifests relevant findings as future references on forest management, ecological studies and conservation efforts, not only in the Pasoh Research forest but also in other dipterocarp forests.
