Timber Properties and Utilisation Compilation of Timber Technology Bulletin 1995-2015

This book contains a compilation of articles that were published as Timber Bulletin from 1995 to 2015. There are a total of 55 articles covering a wide range of topics on different aspect of wood technologies. However, for the ease of reading, this book is divided into six chapters namely Wood structure and anatomy of lesser-known commercial timbers, Timber properties and engineering, Timber processing equipment, Durability and pests of timber, Plantation resources, and Malaysia timbers and their equivalents. For every chapter, a summary is provided to explain the numerous research activities carried out by the researchers at FRIM. Information published so far is still relevant today and therefore, a compilation of this nature will form a permanent record and can be retrieved easily.
