This is the third volume produced by the "Tree Flora of Sabah and Sarawak" project. The project started in 1991 and two other volumes so far have been produced covering 54 families and 607 species. This volume covers only four families but with 431 species. The families involved are Fagaceae, Leguminosae, Caesalpinioideae, Moraceae and Myristicaceae. This volume is highly recommended for any botanist working in Borneo or in Malesiana region. It is also book that will be very useful to foresters working in Borneo.
